Frequently Asked Questions about the PDM Affiliate Program

PROGRAM QUESTIONS

What is the PDM Affiliate Program?
The PDM Affiliate Program allows you to place links for PDM on your website. By placing these links, visitors to your site have the opportunity to apply for a quick and easy way to get the cash they need for life’s unexpected expenses. For every visitor who submits a valid application and is approved, you will earn a commission.
Who is PDM?
PDM is a leading online payday loan company that specializes in short-term personal loans. These short-term loans are becoming highly popular due to hardworking adults who may not have a savings account or disposable income to use as a safety net when unexpected expenses arise. The loan provides an alternative means of acquiring funds instead of incurring bounced check and overdraft protection fees and late bill payment penalties. PDM’s goal is to provide customers with quick and confidential personal payday loans.
Why should I join?
There are many reasons to join. Becoming an affiliate is free, and you’ll make money with very little effort. Our services offer the following: great savings for first time applicants, Preferred Member Programs, and multiple options for the applicant to receive the funds requested. These services are sure to appeal to your visitors and add value to the content of your site. We process the customer application and handle all payments. All you do is cash the check!
Does it cost me anything to become an affiliate?
No. It’s absolutely free to join our Affiliate Program. There is no charge to apply and there is no minimum sales requirement.
If I operate more than one website, can I still be an affiliate?
Yes, you can have multiple sites as an affiliate. You can have one affiliate account with us that will include all of your sites. You can track the progress of each of your sites separately, and your commissions will be combined into one check.
Can I be an affiliate if I operate my website outside of the United States?
Yes, however, in order for you to receive commissions on approved PDM transactions, the applicants must have valid United States mailing addresses.
How does the Program work?
Our Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring your site visitors to our site. You do this by placing links on your site. You earn a commission every time you refer a customer that submits a valid application and is approved for a loan.
How do I sign up?
It’s easy! PDM has teamed up with Commission Junction (CJ) to offer you the opportunity to make additional revenue from your website traffic. The use of CJ and the affiliate program tools is free for all PDM prospective partners.  Complete the online application form and we will email you with information about how to get started. Join Now!
Is my website eligible to become an affiliate?
Most sites will qualify to participate in the program. Anyone may join the program.  However, we reserve the right to revoke a site’s membership at any time if we deem that it contains objectionable material or violates the Publisher Agreement.
What are PDM’s responsibilities?
We will provide you with the promotional tools and support you need to maximize revenue through your site. We also handle the application process, deposit of funds, and billing for all customers you refer to us.
Can I participate in other affiliate programs?
Yes, but we hope you will find your partnership with us to be the most effective in maximizing your revenue. PDM will honor your visitors’ cookies for 30 days and has a competitive commission structure.
How do I change my account information?
This can be managed through your CJ account. To access your account, click here
Will becoming an affiliate increase traffic to my site?
Our Affiliate Program is not designed to help you increase traffic to your site; however, we will provide you with expert advice about how to motivate your users and increase your audience base.
Does PDM have a search policy?
Advertising on search engines is allowed. However, there are guidelines that must be followed, such as not bidding on branded terms or PDM domains. After you have joined, please be sure to review the program guidelines.
I don’t have a website. Can I still apply?
Yes, you do not need a website to join.  You can use a hyperlink to a newsletter or e-zine that directs the reader to the PDM site. You must follow the state restrictions when distributing an offline newsletter. The cookie on the reader’s browser will contain your publisher ID number. Within PDM’s website, we have placed coding which reads that cookie and lets us know the visitor came from your site, newsletter, or e-zine. For us to accept you as an affiliate, we must be able to review your newsletter or e-zine content.
Can a customer apply for more than one payday loan?
We do not allow our customers to have more than one open loan with us. However, we do accept loan applications from customers who have open loans with other cash advance companies.
Who processes applications and handles customer service?
PDM handles all of that for the customers that you refer to our site. All you have to do is place links on your site. We do the rest.
I want to start promoting PDM services, but I’m on a limited budget. What can I do to get started?
Becoming an affiliate does not require a large budget. Other possible media you can use to promote PDM are:

  • Free classifieds
  • Placing a link on a flyer or newsletter
  • Creating an E-zine
  • Posting to a newsgroup
What is the length of time commission can be earned on cookies?
PDM honors a 30-day cookie on all transactions.
What are the minimum customer requirements to have an application processed?
My Cash currently requires customers to have a checking account opened for a minimum of 90 days, be at least 18 years of age, earn a minimum of $1,000 net per month, and not be in the military or dependent on military personnel for income.

SETTING UP LINKS

How do I create links?
To create links on your site, follow the steps below:

  • Log in to your CJ account
  • Go to the Creative section and determine the type of link you would like to promote
  • Copy the entire HTML code and paste it into your web page logic
Where should I place the links on my site?
Place links where they can be easily noticed by your site visitors. Some areas to consider when placing your links include your home page, your navigation bar, and any other high traffic areas. If you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site, your visitors will be more likely to click and apply.
Can I place links in emails to my users?
No. PDM does not allow email marketing at this time.
How often should I update my links?
You should update links to our products frequently.  We are constantly adding new links.  You should incorporate links that fit the interests of your visitors.

TRACKING, PAYMENT, AND REPORTING

How will you know that the application came from my site?
All links from your site to our site contain a unique identifier.  Every time a user comes to us via your site, we know to credit you when an application is approved. However, this is only possible when you create all of your links from the CJ interface and the links are not altered.
How often can I run reports?
You can run reports daily if you wish. Log into your CJ account and go to the Reporting section of the website. Transactions are updated daily with the latest information about your performance activity.
How much can I earn?
There is no limit to how much you can earn. You will earn a commission for every valid application that is approved for a loan that was generated from your site.
How do I know how much commission I have earned?
Your PDM commission data is updated daily within the CJ interface. You can track the commissions you have earned by logging into your CJ account and reviewing the report for your account.
How often do I get paid?
Checks are paid monthly, provided you reach the PDM $50 minimum.
Do I earn a commission on my own application?
Yes. When you apply for a payday loan through your website, you earn the same commission on your application that is approved for a loan that you would from a visitor’s approval.
Do I earn a commission on invalid or fraudulent applications?
If a user submits an invalid or fraudulent application, you will not receive a commission.
When should I expect my commission check?
You will receive payment for approved applications on a monthly basis for the commissionable transactions completed the previous month. You must earn a minimum of $50 to receive a monthly check. Until the monthly minimum is reached, a check will not be mailed. Payment for any transactions deemed fraudulent and invalid will not be included in the monthly payment.
What do I earn when my visitors click through and are approved for a loan through PDM?
Please review the CJ interface for specifics on the commission structure for each PDM customer that comes from your site and gets an approved loan.
Does PDM handle all of the transactions?
Yes. PDM handles all transactions through the CJ interface.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

I want to have my own site, but I don’t know how to create one. Is there a template I can start with or someone I can hire to do this for me?
Most free webhosts offer templates for people who want to build a website themselves without spending a ton of money. You can do a search in your favorite search engine for "Free Web Hosts" or "Website Templates."

To hire a designer to build a site for you, check these resources:

  • Your local yellow pages for web designers in your area
  • Do an online search for a freelance web designer
How do I place a banner on my webpage?
First, gain access to your website. You’ll do this either by using a program like WSFTP to log in to your site or by using a web-based program that allows you to access and make changes to your pages. If you’re using a program like WSFTP to download your pages onto your hard drive, you can open them in Notepad or use a web editor like Dreamweaver, Homesite, or FrontPage.

Each of these programs will give you two views. One will show you what the page will look like with colors and formatting when you upload it. If you’ve heard of the term WYSIWYG (wiss-ee-wig), it comes from this view. This is an acronym that stands for “What You See Is What You Get.” The other view will show you the HTML coding.

Using the WYSIWYG view, find the area where you’d like to add your banner. With most programs, you can paste the code in there. A little grey box will appear denoting the image. The banner won’t show until you view it online.

If your program doesn’t allow you to paste the code into the WYSIWYG area, you can try "marking" the spot with something like "zzz." Then go to the HTML view. Perform a search or use the find command on the new window to find the "zzz" you inserted. Paste your banner code over the “zzz” and go back to the WYSIWYG area.

When you’re finished, upload the updated page to your site. Test it to be sure the banner shows and the link to the PDM site works.

I don’t want to use banners. How do I setup a text link?
You can find text links in the PDM Creative section of the CJ interface. Copy the links provided and then place them in the desired locations within your website or online posting.
I’m using FrontPage to edit my website. When I add the banner code, all I see is the code. How do I get the banner to show and the link to work?
An error may have occurred during the editing process. Follow the steps below, and your banner will display and link to the PDM page.
1. Copy the code to clipboard (CTRL+C).
2. Open page in Normal view, place your cursor where you would like the code inserted or the link to be displayed.
3. From the menu bar, choose Insert/Advanced/HTML, which will open a new window called HTML Markup.
4. Paste the code (CTRL+V) into this window.
5. Click OK.
What are click-throughs?
A click-through is an action that happens when a prospect clicks on a banner or text link that leads them to PDM. Your click–throughs are important stats to know, because they tell you the number of times visitors have clicked on your link(s) to go to the PDM site.
What are impressions?
An impression occurs when a page containing your affiliate code is viewed on your site or in your HTML email messages. Impressions are important because they tell you how many "chances" you had to create a banner click-through.
